Talita WiggI am just giving a bit of feedback as a current donor. I can not praise Alison and her team and the people at the ACU at Guys enough for how easy they have made it all. It was a bit of a bumpy ride to get this far, but today we are at day 3 of injections with a follow up appointment next Wednesday and everything is jut falling into place. At first I think the scary part for me was injecting, but it is so simple and over in a few seconds. I am just so pleased to be apart of somebody else’s journey in becoming parents as I have been one of the lucky ones, that wanted a baby and fell pregnant almost at the thought of it. After seeing two friends experiencing failed IVF and invitro I decided that there must be something I can do. It is not something to consider lightly, but worth it in so many ways. With the support of a fabulous group of people this is by far the best experience I could have hoped for. I am happy to support others considering it and wanting to know more from a donor’s point of view. Hoping to feed back some good news in the following weeks. This baby is just so wanted. And now I am crying. Happy tears though. xx

EdCongratulations - I practically could have written your post about myself, except that I’m not as far along the path as you. I go for my 2nd consultant appointment tomorrow to sign all the legal paperwork etc. Quite excited about getting things moving, and very excited for the couple that will hopefully be able to be expecting or celebrating next Christmas with a little baby (depending on when the cycle takes place of course!)
Thanks for the comment about injecting - it’s not something I’m too worried about (had to have clexane after both deliveries with my children) but it’s nice to hear that it’s easy and quick.
How did the rest of your cycle go? Was it successful?
