An Altrui couple talk about their feelings on diary day three of their two week wait.
“8 DAYS TO GO”. We had our goddaughter and her mummy coming for lunch today. Armed with a shopping list, my husband trotted off to the shops to pick up some bits for lunch, whist I continued my Disney marathon. Today it was Cinderella.
It was lovely to have our goddaughter over. It enabled us to take a break from the world of embryos, speculums and discussions about breast tenderness. I must say that after lunch, all I was fit for was lying on the sofa (for a change). I was overwhelmingly tired and my tummy was a bit crampy. I wondered if I had overdone it with picking up my goddaughter. I should not have done any heavy lifting or stretching. Was I cramping for good or bad reasons? Torture. Pure torture. How on earth were we going to get through this?
