Samantha is incredibly proud of being an egg donor, and for good reason! She loves thinking of the family on the receiving end of her donation, and the extraordinarily loved babies that came as a result of her selfless gesture.
How did you learn about egg donation?
I was looking at surrogacy and while doing research came across egg donation.
Why did you decide to donate via Altrui?
I looked into a few different companies and altrui just stuck with me, from reading on the website to being in contact with the lovely ladies at altrui, I knew this was the company for me.
What inspired you to donate?
I had temporary fertility issues and it really effected me and when I was finished having my children I was sterilised, this made me really research egg donation, I no longer needed my eggs and instead of them going to waste each month, they could go to couple who were looking to complete their dream of having their own family.
What did you enjoy the most about the donation process?
The whole process is such an amazing experience, right from the start the ladies at altrui make you feel so relaxed and special and even going through all the scans, medication and egg retrieval you always feel like your doing something amazing, I loved egg collection day and finding out how many eggs I had collected, knowing they were going to couple who wanted them more than anything.
How do you feel when you think about your recipient?
I’m so proud of being an egg donor, knowing I’ve helped the couples I have start their families, knowing their wishes came true and the babies that have come from my donations are loved more than they could ever imagine
What would you say to someone considering donating their eggs?
It’s such an amazing experience and you will never be more proud of doing something, there is so much support from other donors, especially on the altrui donors fb group.
Is there anything else you’d like to share?
Of all the things I have done in my life, being an egg donor is one of the things I am most proud of.
