Why did you decide to donate via Altrui?
When speaking with and interacting with Altrui you felt part of a family and that you were valued.
What inspired you to donate?
My father in law passed away and he was a step father to my husband and his brothers, he taught me family is much stronger than blood and biology.
What did you enjoy the most about the donation process?
Visiting the clinic, I felt really well looked after and everything was supportive and well explained.
How do you feel when you think about your recipient?
It gives me great pride to know I helped someone have a family. It is not until you begin this process you understand actually what tough journey having a child can be.
What would you say to someone considering donating their eggs?
You are providing hope and opportunity, that’s it, nothing more, nothing less. I feel my part as an egg donor is minor compared to the journey ahead for the parents.
Is there anything else you’d like to share?
It really is one of the best things I have ever done, it gives me great comfort to know I helped someone out in the world to have a family. That I made what seemed impossible, possible.
